Marketing & Marktforschung

Are you passionate about marketing, sales, and international business development?

Do you want to help promote unique handcrafted products, build business connections between Africa and Europe, and contribute to an impactful social enterprise?

SOLOKO is looking for a motivated student or bachelor graduate (m/f/d) in marketing, sales, international business, or related disciplines to support the market entry and growth of our products globally. You will gain hands-on experience in B2B and B2C sales, lead generation, and brand promotion — while contributing to a mission that combines sustainable entrepreneurship and design.

Your Tasks – What You’ll Do

You will actively support our marketing & sales activities through strategic and practical tasks:

  1. Market research & analysis – Identify opportunities in African, European, and other international markets. Conduct trend, competitor, and market analyses to identify positioning opportunities.
  2. Target customer identification – Analyze and define our ideal customer profiles and buyer personas.
  3. Lead generation & outbound outreach – Identify potential buyers (interior shops, concept stores, online platforms, B2B customers) based on the sales strategy.
  4. Cold outreach & email sequences – Write and send professional emails, follow up with leads via email and phone, and document interactions in a CRM (training provided).
  5. Support the sales funnel – Help develop and maintain outreach flows, follow-up sequences, and response tracking.
  6. Marketing, social media & content support – Contribute to marketing campaigns, help with post planning, and research channels or influencers that fit our brand values.
  7. Administrative tasks – Help maintain customer databases, prepare reports and presentations, and assist with partner communications.

Your Profile – What We’re Looking For

  1. Student (Bachelor level or higher) in international sales, marketing, business administration or similar field
  2. Strong interest in ethical business, sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and global business development
  3. Confident communicator in German and English (+French preferred)
  4. Proactive, structured, and comfortable working independently
  5. Willing to engage in outreach, prospecting, and professional sales conversations
  6. Basic skills in Excel/Google Sheets and social media tools (Instagram, LinkedIn)
  7. Bonus: CRM or newsletter tool experience
  8. Background in design or textiles is a plus but not required — interest or experience in sales, international trade, or African markets is an advantage.

What We Offer

  1. Insight into real-world marketing & sales processes for a mission-driven brand
  2. The opportunity to directly contribute to connecting African craftsmanship with global markets
  3. Flexible working hours (approx. 10–15 hrs/week) – ideal alongside studies & can be discussed
  4. Full remote work option with access to office location in Baden-Württemberg
  5. A role with purpose, combining entrepreneurship, sustainability, and design

About SOLOKO

Soloko is a German based social business transforming traditional handwoven textiles into timeless home décor and lifestyle products. We work directly with skilled artisans in Ghana, creating fair, sustainable income opportunities while preserving the cultural heritage of weaving. Our mission is to connect this unique craftsmanship with global markets, proving that ethical trade can be both beautiful and commercially successful.

By growing internationally, we aim to expand market access for our artisan partners, create more training and employment opportunities in Ghana’s textile sector, and ensure that traditional skills continue to thrive for the next generation. Joining us means contributing to a business where every sale directly supports artisans, strengthens local communities, and tells a story of cultural heritage with contemporary design.
